Vietnam is one of the most exciting golf holiday destinations in Asia with over 60 golf courses, with even more soon to be added. Although there are many destinations to visit, it mainly consists of three main areas. Hanoi & Halong Bay in the north, Saigon in the south and main area in middle in the Danang / Hoi An region. In keeping with our Asia Golf Experiences name, Vietnam has the full experience from great golf, to the most exciting tours you can imagine. It could be a cruise around Halong Bay or the Mekong Delta, or the royal city of Hue , the major port Danang city or the world heritage site of the ancient Hoi An lantern town. A tour round the Old Quarter of the ancient capital Hanoi or a Vespa tour around Saigon, you name it and you can probably do it!

January to April is the best time to golf in Vietnam. From May to September, it gets hot and rainy in the whole country, but Danang is still an ideal destination for golfing.

Danang and Hội An are cities on Vietnam’s central coast, with Hoi An known for its well-preserved Ancient Town, cut through with the river and canals and Danang known for its sandy beaches. Either option is a good base for your golf holiday as they are only 30 minutes apart. Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam and has an old feel about it compared to the more modern Saigon in the south. Located in the north of the country, it does get quite cold and foggy in the months of December, January & February, so best to avoid these months. Sometimes dubbed the “Paris of the East” for its French influences, with its tree-fringed boulevards, over two dozen lakes & thousands of French colonial-era buildings, it is a popular tourist destination. Saigon or Ho Chi Minh City is the largest city located in the south of Vietnam and is a popular tourist destination due to its fascinating culture, classic French architecture, and sleek skyscrapers as well as ornate temples and pagodas. The city is also filled with rooftop bars that overlook Saigon and beyond, while fantastic restaurants offer a combination of French, Chinese, and, of course, local Vietnamese cuisine. Read more…
