Langkawi Golf Experience

Langkawi, located in the Andaman Sea, is north-west of Kuala Lumpur. This gem of Malaysia is known for its beautiful beaches, pristine clear turquoise water, and two fantastic golf courses.

While there are a few excursions to be done in Langkawi, it is more known for relaxing on the white sand beaches soaking up some vitamin D, as well as playing on two very unique and amazing golf courses. The rainforest can be seen throughout the island, which allows for some nice breezes to refresh your time on the beach.

With the island being on the west coast of Malaysia, be sure to get down to the beach at sunset for a nice drink to top off the day, and get a few great pictures of the sprawling sunset to take as memories of a great golf trip to Langkawi.

The Els Club Teluk Datai – Rainforest Course

This Ernie Els design is one of the best in Asia. Playing both up into the rain forest and down along the Andaman Sea, each hole is interesting and exciting. Local wildlife can be seen on the way around. A bonus for those whose golf balls like bunkers, there’s no bunkers on this track!

Gunung Raya Golf Resort

Located on the Gunung Raya volcano and highest peak in Langawki, this course offers spectacular vistas of the rolling hills and rain forest. The layout and features are very mature, and it is a great compliment to The Els Club.

Langkawi Cable Car & Eagle Square

Your private guide will take you to the bottom of Langkawi Cable Car and escort you up the 708 meters to the top of Mat Cincang Mountain. From there, visit the observation deck which has panoramic views around Langkawi and over the sprawling rainforest. If the weather is really good, the Indonesia island of Sumatra can be seen! On the way down, explore the Oriental Village. From there, you will visit Eagle Square. This 12 meter high statue carries significance to the island. After that, enjoy a local coffee at a nearby café before heading back to your hotel.

Langkawi Mangrove Tour

Langkawi is home to a significant stretch of mangrove forests. These mangroves are home to many local wildlife species and play a vital role to the local ecosystem. These mangroves are also said to have helped limit the damage of the 2004 tsunami. Along with exploring the mangroves, visit some caves which have been naturally carved out of the limestone cliffs and visit the various limpid pools. This tour is a great way to see the local nature and ecosystem in action.
